the homestretch

i am one week away from finishing my first graduate school semester at the Academy of Art University. this semester has been really busy, what with studying everyday and the long ride over from home to school (I live in Marin County, a 1/2 hour drive from San Francisco, but that translates to 1 1/2 on the oh-so-speedy Golden Gate Bus). Marco and I have only lived in Marin about 4 months and it's starting to grow on me...

anyhow, now that the semester is over, i am amazed of all the skills I've learned. my teachers were really knowledgeable and happily i was taught stuff i think i'll use later on (typography and such). i especially learned that the typeface Arial is a creation of the devil and thus evil. for the true nerd typographers in all of us, check out this game of Helvetica vs. Arial.
