the holy grail

i have finally found the (t-shirt) craftster's holy grail -- the iron-on transfer pen. i am ecstatic! now i can make EVERY T-SHIRT I EVER WANTED!!!! hopefully this will be easy (it looks that way). as you may know, i have tried to sew (failed), knit (failed), crochet (failed) and screenprint (sort of failed). now i will dominate in iron transfer penning!!!

heeellloooo dahhhhlings...

It is I dahhhlings, Nadya Kutznutzov!

my friend Karen's mystery dinner birthday was really fun. and i dressed up as a russian spy (it was supposed to be the cold war, 1960's) and marco was a russian sea captain. check out the gallery under Out and About for a few more pics.

in other news, i found this really cool tool for helping to get through those "artist's blocks" (much like writer's block). there is this card pack called the Innovative Whack Pack by roger von oech. the cards in this deck help you think of new and interesting ways of looking at your problems. its perfect for when i'm stuck while designing posters, which are the most challenging for me.

i'm lame

i said i would post but then NOTHING. this time, though, i'm going to commit.

hmm... lets see, what's going on? last night the AAU gang went to Blondie's Bar and No Grill in the city and got "happy." there was lots of drinking, lots of dancing and a little bit of grabbing. i personally had a great time (and I recommend the appletinis, they're fab).

in other news, tonight my friends in the south bay are hosting a big murder mystery dinner. Karen, my friend whose birthday it is, is a mastermind, because she makes these elaborate scripts up!!! I'm amazed at her brilliance. Pictures to come :) and Happy Birthday KAREN!

long long fishy time...

it's been a while since i've posted... mainly due to my increasingly demanding social life (actually, strike that, it's really my school life -- i have little to no social life) but i'll post again soon!

so today i was looking on the internet for some funny looking fish 'cause i wanted to know what they were called. turns out they're parrot fish and they look like they're smiling!! funny!!! but i found out some sad news about how they are made to be bright jelly-bean like colors. so i don't know if i'll ever get any but i did want some before... sigh.
