3rd time's a charm

so i just wanted to share with you guys that i've actually been featured on the etsy front page four times! can you believe it?!?! i never expected it but i had the octopus hat featured (1), a camo colored beanie (2), a pink felted blossom (3) and the fourth time i had my skully skull hat & my gray ultimate guy beanie featured! wow! i never expected it but hope to have many more. as for sales generated from it, well, i can only trace one (the pink blossom pin) to the features page but at least it gets my store out there!

i am the king of the world

good news! so far, my classes are awesome. i'm totally excited about the great type class i'm taking and am happy happy happy to find my teacher is committed to my learning :) (as i am). also, i have started a very interesting family fun night meeting at my mom's house; my cousins and i get together and we play cranium! it's really fun, even they, in their teenageness, think it's fun. everyone ends up spending the night and we hang out the next morning together. the greatest thing about family fun night? we have a rotating trophy: the trollie! (trough-ley). everyone covets the mystical trollie, as his stand states that which no one will say outloud: "i won because i'm BETTER than you." so the thing is that when you win the trollie, you add something to the trophy; like for example, you braid his hair, or put glitter on him, or make him new clothes, etc. all in all, cranium family fun nights are actually fun and everyone has a good time and is a sore loser :)

as featured on indie obsession!

so my tiny felted turtle pin is featured on indie obsession! so cool! i'm hoping that people will see and like it :) (and maybe buy it?)

in other news, i've started school again yesterday and my letterpress class is really great :) but i always knew i would love it. i'm actually looking forward to my typography class too and i've recently another online class. so i guess i'm full on this semester. everyone, please send me postive brain vibes!

a sign... i think.

so today i was walking to the dog park from the post office and i had the most lovely surprise! right there, behind the bus stop and next to the post office was a family of california quail! pleasantly weird. i've lived in California all my life and never saw any. i tried to take some pics of them but only had my phone camera with me and the pics are really bad but hey here's a drawing of one (not by me). it is something very unusual for me, and i'm taking it as a good omen, perhaps the sign i was looking for that the coming school year will go well.

also i finally figured out how to use the bluetooth thing between my phone and my computer so i uploaded some photos that i had on my phone. i updated the following albums:
