International Babywearing Week 2008

i have been super busy with school and mia and family stuff but i never miss a babywearing meeting of the bay area babywearers, 'cause they're such a great group of moms who understand the awesomeness of wearing our babies. mia has tons of fun playing with the kids (and good pal, corey, who makes her light up when she sees him) and i get to have adult conversations...about babies, LOL! anyhow, here's some cute pics of mia and corey hugging and the cupcakes i made for international babywearing week 2008... made with fondant and frosting, with nilla wafer heads! more cupcake pics here!

mia and i voted together in our country's historical election. we walked to our polling place, she said hi hi hi to all the polling people and we voted! so happy we both could share a piece of history together :)

1. i really love horror movies. like gory, scary, disgusting ones.
2. i don't drink sodas in my own home. only outside the house (exception is with pizza. pizza must be consumed with soda).

Our handmade halloween costumes

a tad late, but i wanted to post a few pictures of our costumes for Halloween this year!

yes, we are certifiably nuts. we make our own halloween costumes. :)

Pumpkin Carving

we also carved some pumpkins for our doorstep... it was so much fun! mia thought putting their lids back on was the most entertaining thing EVER. here are more pictures of our halloween fun this year!

Pumpkin Cupcakes

i made these tuesday for mia's playgroup's halloween party. i think they turned out super cute ;) they're just white cake and vanilla frosting (tinted orange ;) ) the stems and curly green tendrils are chocolate and vanilla candy and the eyes are white m&ms.

and the best part? they were gone in a flash! a big hit with the toddlers.
